Karren Brady
Baroness Brady of Knightsbridge CBE

Karren Brady, Baroness Brady of Knightsbridge CBE, is probably best known as ‘the first woman in football’ after becoming Managing Director of Birmingham City FC at only 23 and turning the club’s fortunes around. Brady took over the club when it was in administration, and in her first year at the helm, the club recorded a financial trading profit. In 1997 the Club launched on the Stock Market valued at the time of float at £25 million making her the youngest Managing Director of a PLC in the UK.

During her tenure at Birmingham City, Brady increased the average gate of the Club from 6,000 to a sell-out capacity of over 30,000 and in 2009 her business was valued at over £80 million. She sold Birmingham City FC in 2009, and in 2010 became the Vice Chairman of West Ham FC, the Premier League club that will be moving to the Olympic Stadium in 2016 as part of a deal she negotiated.

Previously, she spent 7 years serving on both the Boards of Channel 4 television, where she chaired the Renumeration Committee and the global retailer Mothercare PLC.

Brady has won many awards for services to business over the years, including being named Business Woman of the Year and Most Inspirational Woman of the Year. She has also been presented with the coveted Spirit of Everywoman Award, acknowledging her outstanding achievements in changing the landscape for women in business. She was voted by Cosmopolitan as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in the World in 2004 and again in 2006 when she attended The Queen’s lunch for Women Achievers and Business Leader, and 2010 saw her listed in the business category of The Sunday Telegraph’s ‘100 Most Powerful Women in Britain’, whilst also included in the Evening Standard’s list of ‘London’s 1000 Most Influential People 2010’.

Brady has emerged as a powerful advocate for British business and in September 2013 addressed the Conservative Party Conference and is proud to be the “Small Business Ambassador” to the Party, traveling up and down the country meeting and engaging with small business owners who are the back bone of the economy. She serves on the Department for Culture Media & Sport’s WISAB (Women in Sport Advisory Board) to help increase the status, influence and participation of women in the world of sport.

Mike Anderson
Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Tealium

Mike Anderson founded Tealium in 2008 and has served as the chief architect behind the company’s market-leading tag management and unified marketing platforms. He previously worked at WebSideStory (Adobe Systems), where he served as a senior engineer on the core architecture team. As the builder and leader of the company’s professional services team, he oversaw analytics tag implementations for Disney, Best Buy, Target, Cisco, Citi, FedEx, and more. Mike studied electrical engineering at the University of California, San Diego, and computer science at California State University San Marcos.

Lindsay McEwan
VP and Managing Director, Tealium

An expert in business management, Lindsay McEwan is Vice President and Managing Director at Tealium, the leading platform in real-time customer data solutions and enterprise tag management.

Lindsay has almost 20 years of proven strategic leadership and commercial management expertise, and is passionate about his career and the industry he works in. He has a track record of growing smaller organisations up to £100 million and assisting them with exit strategies to acquisition or continued growth via IPO.

With specialist insight into business development, Lindsay is now leading the charge at Tealium where he is responsible for driving steady growth across the EMEA region. Prior to Tealium, Lindsay’s roles included Director of Sales at Adobe Systems UK, and Managing Director at Neolane Software, a marketing automation vendor that was acquired by Adobe. He also held a leadership role at Oracle, running its fusion team.

Data is central to Lindsay’s role at Tealium, where he educates and inspires businesses across Europe to seamlessly integrate their data and applications to drive better and more profitable cross-channel customer interactions. Lindsay champions data transparency and encourages businesses to maintain openness with consumers about how their data is being used.

More recently, Lindsay’s mission has been to provide businesses with the necessary information to ensure their compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). He is keen to help businesses collect, store and process first-party data while adhering to regulations, and to join the dots in the customer journey by connecting previously disparate data silos.

Lindsay’s passion for the industry sees him wearing many hats – from sitting on judging panels to delivering keynote presentations, and hosting lively debates into the latest marketing trends and challenges.

Sheila M. FitzPatrick
Attorney, Worldwide Expert in Data Privacy, Chief Privacy Officer

Sheila FitzPatrick has over thirty years’ experience as an international employment and data protection attorney. Sheila is considered one of the world’s leading experts in data privacy laws and works closely with the US Government, Council of the European Union, country-specific data protection agencies in Europe, Asia/Pacific, and The Americas, as well as, National Works Councils, European Works Councils and Law Enforcement Agencies.

She provides expertise and hands-on experience in the areas of global data protection compliance, data sovereignty, cybersecurity regulations and obligations, legal issues associated with cloud computing and big data, data breach compliance and management, and records management. Sheila has been recognized by Data Protection Authorities (DPAs) around the world for her depth of comprehension and commitment to data protection laws. She speaks regularly at global conferences and panel discussions focused on data privacy, cybersecurity and cloud computing.

Sheila currently works with NetApp as their global Data Governance and Privacy Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer. She is responsible for NetApp’s worldwide data privacy compliance program that includes responsibility for compliance with global laws related to data protection, data sovereignty, cybersecurity, data breach notification, cloud computing and records management. She sits on many internal NetApp councils and committees including the Enterprise Information Security Council (EISC), the Mobile Apps Steering Committee, the Case Management Steering Committee, the Intranet Enhancement Council, the Data Privacy Council, the Information Protection Project Council, the Marketing Strategic Council, the Data Privacy Marketing Taskforce, the HR HCM Advisory Council, the Federal Government Advisory Council, and the Vendor Procurement Assessment Council.

Sheila also sits on many external councils and is currently the Vice-Chair of CompTIA’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Committees and is actively involved in their Big Data and Cloud Computing Subcommittees. Sheila holds strategic seats on “by invitation only” committees including the European Union Data Protection Advisory Council, the Asia Pacific Data Protection Framework Advisory Board, the Latin American Data Privacy Forum, the SNIA Privacy Council, the Canadian PIPEDA Advisory Board, and the ANZ Privacy and Cybersecurity Advisory Group.

Sheila holds undergraduate and law degrees (BA & JD) from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA, an MBA from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY, and a law degree (LLM) from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

David Murphy is editorial director and co-founder of Dot Media. The company was born out of Mobile Marketing Magazine, which David launched as an online news, analysis and advice portal in November 2005. The website attracts 40,000 unique visitors every month with its mix of news, opinion and analysis.

David oversees the editorial direction of the website – attracts 40,000 unique visitors every month – print and iPad magazines. He also manages the speaker programme for the company’s events business, including the Mobile Marketing Summits, and the Effective Mobile Marketing Awards.

David is also a co-founder of Masterclassing, which runs events bringing together brands and digital marketing experts in cities all around the world.
A French graduate, David is married with two teenage daughters and when not funding their shopping habit, enjoys (mainly Indie) music, cycling, squash and football.

Tony Gosling

Tony Gosling , until very recently was the Director of Data, Analytics & Insight in the Ministry of Defence (MOD), Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO). Over the last few years he has built a new function to exploit data strategically in order to deliver a more efficient and effective estate and services that support the military as they live, work and train and getting best value from the DIO’s £3.5bn of annual spending.

He is now working on developing the next stage of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s evolution – Future DIO.

He and his team, working in partnership with the other DIO functions have dramatically improved the management and exploitation of data and information in the DIO including business intelligence, analysis and the way that data and information is used in decision making and delivery of services. Getting higher quality data in a new IT system has enabled the way the DIO works with its customer and delivery partners to become much more data driven and digital. The use of that data has enabled the DIO to prove an £8.5bn funding gap, and agree the disposal of 91 sites which will reduce costs and release land for housing.

Before this role Tony spent 15 years as a consultant and interim manager (most recently with PA Consulting) delivering project turnarounds and major outsourcing deals. He has worked on design build and support in a variety of industries including naval ships, fast jets, trains gas turbines and telecommunications. In the 1990’s he ran an IT services company.

Her role is to lead Centaur’s flagship event for brands, which comprises a programme featuring 250 speakers, including high profile figures such as Apple founder Steve Wozniak. The Festival runs 13 simultaneous stages, an awards scheme, a gig and a partner fringe programme.

Her content role involves ensuring that the brands – which range from print magazines to digital training providers, from data intelligence products to large-scale events, have a joined-up content strategy that helps us provide our audiences in the marketing, media, creative and PR communities with products that fit their needs. She is currently acting as interim product director for Econsultancy to oversee a major product development project.
